Public Consultation

SAGARPA through its National Service of Agro Alimentary Health, Safety, and Quality (SENASICA) based on article 33 on Biosecurity Law of Genetically Modified Organisms (LBOGM), informs to the general public about the applications for the release of genetically modified organisms permits intended to agricultural use, that have been presented before such Institution and that are available for Public Consultation:

      In case that any person, including state governments where the release is intended to performed, would like to give their opinion per application, it must be technically and scientifically supported. It must be sent within 20 working days from the first day after its publication, with attention to General Head Office of Agro Alimentary, Aquaculture and Fish Safety Director, to the following address: Guillermo Perez Valenzuela No. 127, Col. del Carmen Coyoacan, C.P. 04100, México, D.F. or to the e-mail: abraham.sandoval@senasica.gob.mx

      Opinions issued according to the above paragraph will be considered by SAGARPA for what established as additional biosecurity measures, for those cases where the permit for environmental release of genetically modified organisms is issued according to the Biosecurity Law of Genetically Modified Organisms.
