For the first time in this State, in recognition to the application of Good Aquacultural Production Practices, diplomas were given to Production Units: “El Arco del Paraíso, S.C. de R.L” and “Agroinvernaderos Campos, S.P.R. de R.L.” in this way, producers saw their efforts in the aquacultural production of tilapia rewarded.

In attendance were also the SAGARPA State Delegate, the General Director of the State Government Aquaculture Institute, President of the Jalisco State Committee on Aquaculture Health and Safety, representatives of Production Units, and SENASICA official personnel.

More than twenty Aquacultural Production Units have been incorporated to the Voluntary Programs of Good Production Practices by SENASICA in a jointly effort with the Jalisco State Committee on Aquaculture Health and Safety, with actions agreed on the Working Program of the Aquacultural Safety Sub-Component, part of the Support Program in this entity.

In this way, the national aquacultural production is promoted and strengthened with applying Risk Reduction Systems that guarantee the safety of products and which benefit approximately 300 producers in the sector.
